Booths and Equipment
Booths will be set up and ready when you arrive at 2:00 pm. Please go to the registration desk when you arrive (see map below). This is where you will sign in, pick up your name tag and receive a map showing the location of your booth. Groups requiring extra equipment (projectors, screens, extension cords, etc) can collect these items at the registration desk.
Each presenter group will be provided a booth (consisting of a table and 4’ x 8’ poster board) to showcase their work. Booths will be dismantled at 5:00 pm. Please return all borrowed equipment to the registration desk.
If you have any information about set-up and equipment requirements, please contact Zack Lee at zack.lee@ubc.ca or 604-822-4623.
Presenter Interviews
Over the course of the two hour event, Ted Schellenberg of e-Strategy will interview presenters about their projects. Clips from these interviews will be posted on the e-Strategy and Office of Learning Technology websites after the event. Don’t be alarmed if you see a camera crew heading towards your table – we want to know more about your presentation!
Presenter Prize
For the first time, event attendees will vote for the best e-Learning Open House presentation. Ballots will be available in print at the event and online until Friday, February 5, 2010. The winning team will receive a $100 gift certificate from Milestones. A feature article on the winning presentation project will be published in the February edition of the UBC e-Strategy Update newsletter.
The winner will be announced on the Open House website at noon on Monday, February 8, 2010.
