Description: This presentation will focus on our 2009-2010 TLEF funded project to develop an interdisciplinary Online Assessment Resource Centre (OARC) here at UBC, which will be hosted through the Centre for Teaching and Academic Growth (TAG). This new web resource is designed to help support faculty and instructors with all aspects of designing and implementing assessments in their courses. The site will also contain an “Evaluation Wizard”, an interactive application which will allow users to generate templates for various types of assessments. In addition, the resource centre will provide links to areas of interest in student assessment, as well as offering faculty and instructional staff the opportunity to upload assessment templates and engage with one another about certain issues in assessment. The design and structure of this web-based resource centre will be described on the poster, and we will also have a laptop available to allow participants to explore our project Web site. Since we are still in the process of development, we will be encouraging feedback and suggestions on the site from all those who will be attending this year’s e-learning open house.

See http://blogs.ubc.ca/oarc/ for more details on the project.
